            Christopher Steward, D.M.D, MS, FNP-BC, is an associate lecturer with Fitzgerald Health Education Associates, Inc. (FHEA), an international provider of nurse practitioner certification preparation and continuing education for healthcare providers.

            Dr. Steward is the nation’s only dental medical doctor and nurse practitioner whose primary practice is oral surgery. He earned a Dental Medical Degree from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. He holds a Master of Science Education Degree from Western Kentucky University, where he also completed his undergraduate studies in chemistry and physics. He completed his RN and FNP preparation and earned a Masters in Nursing from Vanderbilt University in Tennessee while still practicing general dentistry and oral surgery.

            He has been a private general dentistry and oral surgery practitioner in Kentucky for more than 29 years. He practices a dentist, oral surgeon and dental consultant with NHC Health Care Facility, Barren County Health Care Center and Glenview Health Care Facility, Inc., all in Glasgow, KY.
           
            Dr. Steward is responsible for developing the continuing education course, Methamphetamine: Social, Medical and Dental Implications, for the Kentucky Board of Dentistry. He presented this lecture at the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives. He presented the lecture Methamphetamine and its Impact on Overall Health at the National Conference for Nurse Practitioners and Acute Care Clinicians.
