Robert M. Blumm, MA, PA-C, DFAAP

Robert Blumm, MA, PA-C, DFAAPA, is an associate lecturer with Fitzgerald Health Education Associates, Inc. (FHEA), an international provider of nurse practitioner certification preparation and ongoing continuing education. Mr. Blumm lectures on several clinical assessment topics including Pre-Operative Evaluation and Avoiding Post-Operative Complications. He also teaches a number of hands-on workshop programs including Common Office Procedures and Basic and Advanced Suturing Techniques.

Mr. Blumm is a certified physician assistant and currently practices in Long Island, NY. He is a TEAM instructor for NP-ATLS program preparation. He is a Veteran and served as a United States Army Combat Medic in the Vietnam War from 1965-1967.

He is a founding member and past president of the American College of Clinicians, American Association of Surgical Physician Assistants and Association of Physician Assistants in Plastic Surgery. Mr. Blumm is a fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the New York State Society of Physician Assistants and the American Association of Surgeon Assistants. He served as the American Academy of Physician Assistants Liaison to the American College of Surgeons. He is a charter member of numerous professional physician assistant organizations.

Mr. Blumm is the author and contributor of more than 150 editorials, clinical articles and book chapters. He co-authored and co-edited Skin and Soft Tissue Injuries and Infections: An Evidence Based Textbook, available at www.fhea.store. He is a contributing editor for NYSSPA News, Family Matters, Sutureline, Advanced Practice Jobs, and APC Today. Mr. Blumm is an Editorial Board Member for Advance for NPs and PAs. He provides various emergency care and surgical lecture topics and has presented at numerous nurse practitioner and physician assistant conferences, including the National Conference of Nurse Practitioners and Advanced Practice Clinicians, the American Conference of Nurse Practitioners and the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners.
