John D. Rowlett is a Senior Lecturer with Fitzgerald Health Education Associates, Inc, an international provider of NP Certification Exam Review and Advanced Practice Update and continuing education for healthcare providers.
Dr. Rowlett attended Eastern Kentucky University for his undergraduate work, graduated from University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed residencies in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Michigan State University. He served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine and as attending in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit before completing a fellowship in Adolescent Medicine under Dr. Donald Greydanus. Dr. Rowlett has obtained board certification in Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, and Adolescent Medicine. He is an instructor in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Dr. Rowlett is the Director of Pediatric Emergency Medicine with Georgia Emergency Associates, St. Joseph-Candler Hospital, Savannah, Georgia, and is Pediatric Emergency Medicine Attending at Kidd Traxx, St. Joseph East Hospital, Lexington, KY.
Dr. Rowlett’s faculty appointments include Professor of Pediatrics, Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond, Kentucky; Lecturer, adjunct faculty Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, South College, Savannah, Georgia; Associate Professor, Department of Pediatrics, Medical College of Georgia (Augusta, Georgia). In addition, he has presented at the local, state and national levels on a wide range of pediatric and adolescent medicine issues. He has authored numerous papers and book chapters and has served on many local, state and national pediatric committees.
