Katherine E. Simmonds, MSN, MPH, WHNP-BC, is an associate lecturer with Fitzgerald Health Education Associates, Inc. (FHEA), an international provider of nurse practitioner certification and continuing education for healthcare providers. She presents the FHEA Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Certification Exam Review and Advanced Practice Update. More than 55,000 nurse practitioners have used the Fitzgerald review course to successfully prepare for certification.
Ms. Simmonds is certified as a women’s health nurse practitioner by the National Certification Corporation. She received her master’s degrees at Harvard University School of Public Health and at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Institute of Health Professions, Graduate Program in Nursing, both in Boston, MA. She is an assistant clinical professor and coordinator of the women’s health track at the MGH Institute of Health Professions, School of Nursing.
Ms. Simmonds lectures at regional and national nurse practitioner conferences on a variety of women’s health topics. She is a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health and the Association for Reproductive Health Professionals. She is a member of the advisory committee for the National Organization Clinicians for Choice.
