Evaluation of Back Pain?
54
Chronic back pain affects more than 16 million people annually, resulting in both significant economic burden, chronic pain, and disability. This program presents a comprehensive approach to the assessment and management of back pain, beginning with a practical review of relevant anatomy. The history and physical examination techniques are presented within the context of mechanical, vascular, degenerative, infectious and systemic etiologies ranging from nuisance to emergence. A deductive approach to the differential diagnoses utilizing appropriate diagnostic testing is analyzed, and evidence-based management strategies are examined.
