This program offers an overview of the 10 personality disorders with important practice pearls for assessment and diagnosis. Key points in diagnosis and management provide the framework for identifying these conditions that so often impact the presentation and treatment of other disorders. Unlike most medical conditions, patients rarely recognize that they have a personality disorder! During this hour we’ll differentiate borderline personality disorder from bipolar disorder, discuss how narcissistic disorder may present as depression and evaluate other features of personality disorders encountered in day-to-day clinical practice.
