Promoting and advocating for NP well-being and resilience is now recognized as a priority area of focus. While a number of strategies for promoting personal and professional well-being exist, many NPs do not integrate building resilience into their daily routine. Dr. Kleinpell will discuss steps in the path to well-being for NPs, highlighting activities that have been proven to increase vitality and resilience.
About Dr. Ruth Kleinpell
Dr. Kleinpell is Associate Dean for Clinical Scholarship, Independence Foundation Chair in Nursing Education, and Professor at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville Tennessee. She is certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and is known nationally and internationally for her expertise related to the APRN role. She has published and presented on the topic of building resilience for healthcare clinicians. Among her many accolades, she is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, the American College of Critical Care Medicine, the National Academies of Practice, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the Institute of the Medicine of Chicago.
