At the conclusion of the course, you will be able to:
  • Identify the appropriate use of laboratory testing as part of the evaluation process of the infant/ child presenting with anemia.
  • Discuss the clinical utility of commonly ordered hematologic laboratory parameters as part of the evaluation process of the infant/ child with or at-risk for anemia.?? 
  • Recognize the required laboratory evaluation in the assessment of the infant/ child with or at-risk for select genetically based hematologic conditions including thalassemia and sickle cell disease.??
