Based on the mechanism of injury, pain, and clinical findings, you will learn to:
- Use screening tools and evidence-based practice guidelines to determine appropriate medical imaging studies based on the mechanism of injury
- Order imaging based on positives and negatives of each modality (radiographs, CT, MRI, and ultrasound)
- Interpret radiographs of the upper and lower extremities, including adult and pediatric considerations
- Differentiate normal from abnormal findings on the plain radiographs
